About Eye & Mind

Through audiovisual media, such as film and photography, the researchers and students at the Eye & Mind Laboratory for Visual Anthropology explore and experiment with the interfaces and dialectics of human perception, emotion and imagination. The Eye & Mind Laboratory provides a meeting point at the crossroads of academia, the arts, and the museum world. It is a space where scholars in visual anthropology, filmmakers, photographers, artists, exhibition makers, and students can exchange and develop their projects and ideas. The laboratory is affiliated with the Visual Anthropology Track at the Department of Anthropology at Aarhus University and the Ethnographic Collections at the new culture-historical museum of Moesgaard.
