Passage

Description

The montage “Passage” is a tale of transition from the world of the living to the world of the dead. At the same time, it explores the understandings of science and humankind prevalent in the ethnography of the past. The film presents a reworking of audiovisual material from the Ethnographic Film Archive at Moesgaard Museum.

Biography:

Arine Kirstein-Høgel (1970) holds a PhD in Film Studies and MA in Film Studies and Anthropology, and is Postdoc in visual anthropology, at Camera as Cultural Critique/Eye & Mind Lab, Aarhus University. She is a film maker as well as film archivist and programmer.
