The Nordic Anthropological Film Association NAFA is the oldest of its kind in the world, and its festival, consisting of general screenings of ethnographic films, the oldest in Europe, having been held (almost)every year since 1979.
As is the case in 2017, the festival is often held in conjunction with an academic event, often a symposium, seminar or workshop.
The theme of this year’s symposium reflects a growing interest in food studies in anthropology and other academic disciplines in general and at Aarhus University in particular. Together with our many wonderful partners, especially the Faculty of Arts, Aarhus University, and the Ethnographic Department, Moesgaard Museum, we shall be looking forward to hopefully welcoming you in Aarhus (22-25 August, 2017).
We also hope that you will be able to find most of the information you need on this website:http://www.nafa-2017.dk
